Qatar

Description

Qatar is a small but wealthy state in the Middle East. A familiar image, isn't it? Although its territory is small, it is a major Arab state thanks to its extensive reserves of oil and natural gas. For many years, Qatar has been one of the richest countries in the world. In summer, temperatures in Qatar sometimes rise above +50 degrees Celsius. Most of Qatar's territory is desert. There are no permanent rivers in Qatar. The only neighboring state with Qatar is Saudi Arabia. Due to a lack of fresh water in Qatar, it has to be extracted from salty seawater through desalination.
