Description

Egypt is located in the northeast of the African continent. It shares borders with Libya, Sudan, and Israel. With a population of 96 million people, it is one of the most densely populated countries in the Arab world. Its capital, Cairo, is home to 12 million people. The country's area covers 1,001,450 square kilometers. The largest cities are Cairo and Alexandria. Egypt is a member of the Arab League and the African Union. Al-Azhar University in Egypt is considered one of the most authoritative educational institutions in the Muslim world. Last year, Egypt's gross domestic product amounted to $256 billion USD. In February 2018, an agreement on cooperation was signed between businessmen from Uzbekistan and Egypt, indicating the strengthening of economic relations between the countries.
